Vice President of Development, Angela Kessler joined the Rainbows’ team in 2014. A gifted fundraiser with more than 15 years of experience, Angela presents the needs of Rainbows throughout the local community with passion and persistence. She keeps her eyes and ears open for funding opportunities and foundations aligning with Rainbows’ mission taking a dedicated approach to meeting the needs of the agency.
A champion for Rainbows’ fundraising events including Annual Blarney Breakfast, Rainbows GLOW Run | Walk and Fashion Passion Runway Show and Auction, always setting the bar high for a quality experience engaging quests, donors and volunteers.
Angela is a fan of Rainbows because, “I believe in the mission of enhancing the lives of children with special needs. Lives change every day because of the passionate work of Rainbows staff, the dedicated support of the Board of Directors and the continued commitment from the community.”
She enjoys touring people through agency facilities and says “the best way to learn about Rainbows’ comprehensive services is to see it firsthand!”
Angela works closely with the Board of Directors and collaborates with the Fundraising and Board Development Committees.
She is a graduate of Wichita State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a certification in leadership studies, but wants others to know she spent 3 years at Fort Hays State and is a Tiger at heart. She is a member of the Wichita Chapter Association of Fundraising Professionals Board of Directors and Communications Chair.
Originally from Pratt, Kansas, Angela and her husband Brandon have two children: Noah and Nevelyn. They spend their free time on the baseball field.
