Crystal began working at the Rainbows’ Kid’s Cove location in June of 2014. She received her Undergraduate Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Psychology from Wichita State University and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Kansas. Crystal decided to work at Rainbows because she loves working with young children and families.
“My favorite part of working at Rainbows is seeing those light-bulb moments and empowering caregivers to help their children grow,” says Crystal. Her days consist of driving to home visits, paperwork, and lots of coffee! She really enjoys all of the relationships she has built through Rainbows with families, coworkers, and the community. “Crystal has quickly become a go-to member of the Infant/Toddler Services (ITS) team. Everyone in ITS knows that they can depend on Crystal, whether it is helping cover evaluations, completing paperwork or taking on a student, she is dedicated to making ITS a stronger department!” says Alexia Foster, Infant/Toddler Services Assistant Coordinator.
When Crystal isn’t at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, Matt, along with their two kittens and two puppies. Crystal and her husband play recreational softball and travel to Kansas City as much as possible to watch the Royals play. She also enjoys spending time renovating her home. Crystal is into health and fitness so she is always trying out new workouts and recipes.
