Keller Broadfoot

Direct Service Professional

Keller Broadfoot has been working at Rainbows for 5 years.  Keller grew up familiar with Rainbows’ services, because his mother used to be on staff. Over the years, Keller became passionate about the agency’s mission and has enjoyed being a part of Rainbows himself.

A typical day for Keller and his classroom starts with a 9 a.m. arrival. Keller helps plan activities for the day, such as a special art project or hands-on science “experiment”. Each day, the kids in Keller’s classroom have quiet time before and after their lunch. Most days, they venture out for a field trip, then return for a snack and free playtime the remainder of the afternoon.  Like many of the kids, Keller’s favorite part of the day is usually the field trip, and he loves that they have one nearly every day.

Keller loves working with the kids at Rainbows, and is always sad to see one move away.  “The little things are the biggest achievements here.  Just seeing them living their life is rewarding,” he says.

Keller said the best part of Rainbows is obviously the children, but he is also thankful for the other staff he’s encountered along the way. “All my best friends work here, and I met my girlfriend here,” he said.

Outside of Rainbows Keller enjoys football and hanging out with friends.  Keller has studied at Hutchinson Community College and is now a Special Education major at Wichita State University.
