Renee Walker

Renée joined the Rainbows' Leadership team in 2017 and comes to Rainbows from ChildServ, a non-profit in Illinois, where she served as Vice President of Human Resources and Chief of Staff for 16.5 years.

Renée has a unique blend of human resources and operational experience at the executive level and works diligently to assure the alignment of strategic goals and operational tactics. She is passionate about ensuring organizations have the best, qualified talent to help further its mission and brings a wealth of not-for-profit knowledge to the position from her experiences with ChildServ, a social serves agency serving the Chicagoland area.

In her spare time Renée likes to shop, travel take long walks. She is just as passionate about giving back and has served on non-profit boards, managed a girls mentoring group and started a special project for a local women’s shelter.

Walker has completed two Master’s degrees, one in Business Administration and the other in Human Resource Management and Development, both from National Louis University of Chicago and will soon pursue a certificate for nonprofit management from the University of Illinois-Chicago.

She is married, has 2 adult children and a beautiful Maltese dog named Blu.
