Charlie Cutler receives Infant Toddler Services through Rainbows United in Sumner County. A sweet boy and loves his mommy and daddy, he is so bubbly and loves to watch Bluey and Dancing Fruit. Charlie enjoys bath time, and his baby food. “He is receiving early intervention services focused on overall development,” said Charlie’s mom, Rossica. “Currently, we are mainly focused on gross motor skills.” Charlie has been working with Rebecca, an early childhood special education teacher at Rainbows. “Charlie has made great progress in the two months he has been at Rainbows,” said Rebecca. He is now rolling, reaching for toys, and pushing up on his hands. Mom has been amazing to work with; she is constantly asking questions and trying suggested new techniques.” Rossica found out about the Rainbows program through her WIC office in Wellington. “My son, who was six months old, wasn’t reaching any of his milestones,” said Rossica.
The progress that Charlie has made is extraordinary. “At six months old, Charlie could not roll over from tummy to back, or back to tummy,” said Rossica. “He wasn’t sitting unsupported, grabbing, or reaching for any toys. Now, Charlie is almost nine-months old, and he is doing all those things!” Rossica highly recommends Rainbows services for any family whose child is struggling with milestones. “Rainbows has changed my life completely and have helped my little one in so many ways,” said Rossica. “I couldn’t be more grateful for the work that they do!”
“I want people to know that Rainbows LISTENS and CARES about your concerns and little ones,” says Rossica. “They are so patient and absolutely washes your worries away.” Rossica has one other child named Willow. “Willow is almost 3 years old. Rossica loves to spend time with her boyfriend and my kids. “When I was in middle school, I always said I wanted to be a math teacher when I grew up, but now I have the best job in the world: being a mother!”
