MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Enhancing the social, emotional and behavioral development of young children.

Early Childhood Mental Health Services

A child’s social and emotional well-being plays an important role in their overall development. Learning to manage emotions, build relationships, communicate needs, and navigate challenges creates a strong foundation for success at home, in child care, and in school.

Rainbows United’s mental health professionals support young children and the adults who care for them by promoting healthy social, emotional, and behavioral development. Services are available at Rainbows locations, in the home, and throughout the community.

Services Available

Our licensed mental health professionals provide a variety of services, including:

  • Mental health screenings and assessments

  • Social and emotional support for children and their families

  • Parenting support and education

  • Early childhood classroom consultation and support

  • Training for early childhood professionals

Supporting Children and Families

Our goal is to help children build healthy relationships, develop emotional regulation skills, strengthen communication, and gain confidence in everyday environments. We work closely with families and early childhood providers to identify concerns, build on strengths, and create practical strategies that support success.

Community Partnerships

Rainbows United partners with community organizations to help ensure children and families have access to the services and supports they need. Through collaborations with agencies such as COMCARE of Sedgwick County, Kansas Children’s Service League, Child Start, and others, we help connect families with appropriate mental health resources and a continuum of care.
