Crystal Arrington

Program Assistant

Crystal Arrington, Family Support Service Program Assistant Coordinator, has always had a passion for working with kids, and when she lost her dad unexpectedly in March of 2017, she mentioned to Rainbows’ Family Support Service Program Coordinator Tiffany Graf that she needed to find a summer job to keep her busy. Tiffany told her about Camp Woodchuck. By the end of that first summer, Crystal knew she wanted to continue working at Rainbows part-time through the school year.

Crystal earned her degree as a Medical Assistant and X-Ray tech in 2011. She worked at GraceMed pediatric clinic and as a para educator for USD 261 in a classroom for children with high behaviors. She also spent 2 years as a Behavioral Health Tech at the Children’s Psychiatric Hospital before joining Rainbows full time in 2023.

“The opportunities I’ve been given at Rainbows allowed me to continue to grow not only in my career, but also as a person,” said Crystal. “My job as the FSS Assistant is a rewarding job in all areas! Being able to help our families meet their needs for services, seeing our clients make gains (big and small) in their daily lives, and using the tools I’ve learned from being a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to guide and help our DSP’s be successful is challenging and fulfilling.”

Crystal’s favorite part of her job? “Seeing all the kids and their excitement to be at camp. We are so happy to have everyone back in person at Kids’ Cove this summer!”

Crystal is Mom to four wonderful kids: Dylan, Dakota, Destiny and Dalton. When they aren’t busy with work, school, and sports they enjoy being outdoors, swimming, and helping people in the community by giving back.
