Myra began working at Rainbows in August of 1997. Myra has a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Wichita State University. She has always enjoyed working with children, in high school Myra coached T-ball and volunteered with Special Olympic events. These experiences helped shape her career path and connect her to Rainbows and the Community Based Education Training Services (CBETS) team.
Myra’s office is based out of Kids’ Point although she spends most of her day traveling to different preschools and childcare centers to provide speech therapy services. “I enjoy seeing my therapy kids making progress on their speech sounds or learning to put words together in a fun environment,” says Myra. She also enjoys all of the staff she works with at Rainbows and how everyone does their best to help each child reach their goals and potential. “Myra is always willing to be flexible, in terms of working with families and with her co-workers. That willingness to meet other’s needs makes her a great team member” says her supervisor, Michelle Croomes, CBETS Coordinator.
When Myra isn’t at Rainbows she enjoys spending time with her family. Her three children attended childcare at Rainbows. Myra’s children are also involved in scouts and multiple sports. Myra and her husband Mark love to watch their children’s sporting events and spend time outside as a family.
