The 13th Annual Peter Hampel's Luau

Family Fun at Tanganyika

Saturday, August 21, Hampel Oil and Rainbows United will be celebrating the 13th Annual Peter Hampel’s Luau at Tanganyika Wildlife Park. An event that began as a Hampel Family Fourth of July celebration has evolved into one of the signature fundraising events for Rainbows United as well as a community tradition.

Guests of this year’s Luau will have exclusive after-hour access to Tanganyika and the opportunity to encounter and interact with some of the unique animals at the park. Additionally, guests will enjoy a delicious meal from local food truck vendors including The Rolling Greek, Cousin Hector’s, Big Granny’s and Funky Monkey Munchies.

During their visit at the park, guests can enjoy a cocktail or play some yard games while dancing to music by DJ Carbon in the new courtyard at Tanganyika. The Luau wouldn’t be complete without the opportunity to satisfy a sweet tooth with a sno cone, cotton candy or both. There will even be special guest appearances by a few of our most beloved super heroes and princesses!

The event is sure to be fun for all ages and allow the Hampel family to continue their mission to support the services Rainbows provides to thousands of children with special needs and families each year. There will be a number of ways for guests to join in that mission including purchasing tickets and merchandise, bidding on the online silent auction, buying a chance to win one of the raffle items or making a donation to support Rainbows.

The Peter Hampel’s Luau would not be possible without the support and guidance of the Hampel Family and Hampel Oil, along with the generosity of our sponsors and volunteers. Thank you to the many guests, organizations and individuals who help make this event a success year after year!
