Jennifer Wise, Case Records Specialist, started working at Rainbows in 2016 originally because it gave her more time with her family. Soon she fell in love with the children and families, and even learned that many of her friends and family have had children who received services through Rainbows.
Jennifer is responsible for data entry for the Infant/Toddler Services (ITS) programs in Butler, Sedgwick and Sumner Counties. She also sends requests to doctors to get information needed to bill insurance companies for services provided by ITS and Rainbows’ Community Based Education/Training Services (CBETS) programs. Both ITS and CBETS are free to families.
“My job contributes to keeping our services free and available to all families,” said Jennifer. “The children and families are my priority. My favorite moments are when I have the opportunity to be involved with the kids. During Dr. Seuss Week, I was invited to read in one of the classrooms. The children were so much fun and so excited!”
Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in Security Management and is completing a second bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Southwestern College.
Gardening, Chiefs and Kansas State University football, and spending time with her family and dogs are Jennifer’s passions. Clint and Jennifer have 3 dogs and 2 daughters. Bayley is a Food Science major at KSU and Brooke is a member of the Kansas Army National Guard.
